This is the 1st place solo from the Drum Circuit Drum Competition in 2003. This day changed my life, not only because of the great new friends, opportunities and prize gear, but because I proved to myself that with dedication I can achieve, even in the face of extreme challenges. At the time of this performance the scaphoid bone in my left wrist was literally fractured into two pieces. In 2004 I had reconstructive surgery. Now in 2010 I’m more dedicated than ever! I know this solo has some sloppy moments but I hope you dig the ideas.
