I just watched the vid and got straight pissed off…and since i have the opporutinity to state how i feel i took it…this is what happens when i press record without first really thinkin about what im gunna say…kinda like tyra does when she talks…makes us look uneducated :p Let me further clairify, i made this vid as a response to the way that tyra responded to her guest. it was unprofessional, and quite rude. despite what the guest’s reasoning was, there was no need to attack her the way that tyra did. i didnt analyze the guest’s response, however i did breifly describe my feelings in the comments. this was just another “i-think-tyra-is-a-dumb-talkshow-host” vid. enjoy!

But i think everyone is missing the point. Why are asian women doing this. Asian men love asian eyes. So there not doing it for the asian men. Asia wake up realize what your doing now so you can fix this self hatred problem. You cant move on positive unless you acknowledge your ancient eyes was not meant to be doubled. Unless it happens naturally. Whites have put a beating on the world and the weak fall for shit like this. Its killing the essence of a asian women.

First of all Tyra is not Oprah, i totatlly agree with this lady. And not just that, Tyra is beautiful so the word that come out from her is just shit, because she is the media herself.

I couldnt agree with you more. i think its highly annoying and ignorant that ppl assume that when someone changes something about themselves they automatically want to be white. its quite racist. then when the same BS comes from non white ppl (tyra banks) thats when you know its been internalized.

The double eyelid thing has nothing to do with being more westernize or being white!! There are asian who are born with double eyelid who are consider more attractive, its asian cultural preception of attractiveness which has nothing to do with being white!! So is having pale skin again nothing to do with being more white, there are asian who are born with pale skin and are consider attractive. Racist westerners should do some cultural research before they assumes shit!!

@iviewutoob EXACTLY. I hate it how if asians get plastic surgery it’s somehow trying to look white when, if the same logic’s applied to any other individual of other race, it could just as easily be said that they’re trying to betray their race as well e.g. a white person trying to get a tan or bigger lips could be seen as an attempt to betray their race and appear black or of any other race that typically possess those features. Plus aren’t big eyes a feature universally seen as beautiful?

@EZserenity you know double eyelids don’t just belong to western standard of beauty…there are plenty of Asians in Asian countries and African countries that have double eyelids. Why do people just assume that Asians that perform this surgery is trying to look white. Obviously “Caucasians” are not the international standard of beauty. Every culture have their own beauty.

When I became 19 I felt the pressure that non biracial black women. I use 2 feel the pressure of not being light enough & not having super long hair at first. That was one of the reasons why I grew my real hair all the way down 2 the middle of my back. Now Im finally happy 2 be me I love my dark brown skin & my hair is 2 my neck now & I like it. Now I realize that u don’t have to be biracial looking with long hair 2 be beautiful.

Ahhhhh, as an asian, I TOTALLY agree with you on this issue, I just watched the video too and it made me pretty mad too. This is really good, as a young girl I started watching Tyra season one, just after watching ANTM when it was at its peak. But in this specific ‘episode’ of the tyra show, she was rude, I felt like she was attacking the lady, she put all her opinions on the poor lady, saying that they both did the things they did for the same reason. Tyra cannot say she’s been through what the lady has been through yet she will comment. She proceeds to ask the surgeon leading questions and cutting him off too!!
