yes and no. just as much as caucasians don’t look good with a big hump or asians look good with a bridge that is artificially raised too tall. i think proportion is huge and i think if you use caucasian standards for lips, everyone would have large lips. i think larger lips can look more ethnic on some people. if you like that look, no problem. taste does differ.

the reason is that sometimes lip augmentation in darker skin people may not look attractive because it exaggerates our concepts of ethnicity in a stereotypical fashion. if the person who is ethnic still wants it, that is fine. i just want to set up perceptions of beauty that that person may not have considered.
